It also operates an outlet at Doha Port for a growing number of passengers arriving and departing the State of Qatar by sea.
Qatar Duty Free is arguably one of the fastest growing and one of the largest Duty Free operations in the Middle East and has been enjoying significant growth year on year. It has been significantly ramping up of its presence in the departures and the Premium Terminal at Doha International Airport, the airline’s operational hub. In addition to the highly successful One Million US Dollar Cash Raffle, the company also have the very popular Luxury Car Draws.
The company has introduced a wide range of high-end luxury brands at Doha International Airport, in addition to expanding the existing range of Confectionery, Electronics, Souvenirs and toys and other categories.
Recently Qatar Duty Free has been awarded the “Global Travel Retailer 0f the Year 2010” and the “Middle East Travel Retailer Of the Year 2010”. These two prestigious awards were given to Qatar Duty Free after being voted by suppliers worldwide.
With a New Doha International Airport set to open by end 2011- early 2012, the Qatar Duty Free team is already working on retail plans and designing the available retail spaces which will be over 25,000 sq.m. In addition to the Core Duty Free areas, Qatar Duty Free will also have Exclusive Branded Boutiques within the retail area catering to passengers from all walks of life.
